Celebrate Recovery

Gathering Times

Sundays - 9:30am Blended & 11:15am Contemporary

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered program with foundations firmly established in Biblical truth. The 12 Steps with accompanying Scriptures and the 8 Principles based on the Beatitudes offer participants a clear path of salvation and discipleship; bringing hope, freedom, sobriety, healing, and the opportunity to give back one day at a time through our one and only true Higher Power, Jesus Christ. The 12 Steps and the 8 Principles work seamlessly together, tying historical recovery to timeless Biblical teaching.

We meet thursday nights at emmanuel from 7-8pm as a large group then split into open share groups from 8-9pm

WHO IS CR FOR?

Ask yourself the following questions:

Do you have trouble setting limits for yourself?

Do you sacrifice your identity, desires or needs to make others feel good about themselves?

Do you struggle feeling safe when you are not in control?

Do you raise your voice to get your way?

Do you act kind on the outside but bitter on the inside?

Do you use food, sex/pornography, relationships, alcohol or drugs to cope with life’s problems?

Do you struggle with body image?

Do you ever know the right thing to do but don’t do it?

Do you love someone struggling with destructive behaviors such as pornography, drugs or alcohol?

Do you live with someone who abuses you physically, sexually or emotionally or feel the continued effects from past traumas & abuse?

Do you ever know that something is wrong but do it anyway?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, welcome to the human race and Celebrate Recovery where you will find a group of fellow strugglers all working to get well. You will discover that you are not alone and when you share your hurt, habit or hang up with anyone at CR, the most common response you will hear is, “Me too.”

CR is a “Me too” kind of place where no perfect people are allowed and all are welcome to participate in a Christ Centered program that heals and sets people free from all hurts, habits and hang ups through the power of Jesus Christ in community with other people.

about josh

My name is Josh and I am a grateful believer in Jesus Christ and I am in recovery for Alcoholism and Codependency. I am in my 12th year of sobriety from all drugs and alcohol use. This is the 12th year since God came into my life and saved me from destroying myself. I was on the edge of death before He spoke into my life and restored me back to the man He intended me to be all along. I still have many hurts, habits and hang-ups, but with Celebrate Recovery, my CR family and my amazing savior, Jesus Christ, I can tackle these problems and live a truly freeing life. I am a husband to my best friend in life and a father to 4 incredible children. God has given me an amazing second chance at life (and He keeps giving me second chances!) and I intend to inspire everyone I come in contact with by sharing the new story God has given me in life. With God in your life, there is always hope. If He can save me, believe me, He can save anyone.
